Need a trainer?

Pit of Our Souls Rescue offers dog training services across Long Island!

Properly training your pet is one of the most important responsibilities all dog owners face, and Pit of Our Souls Rescue is happy to assist. We have a several programs available, including pitbull training.  We can provide training for puppies and adults alike but it is suggested that training be started as early as possible. When your pit bull receives training as a puppy, the training he learned will continue on all the way into adulthood!

Pit bulls are an extremely intelligent breed of dog, and are always ready and eager  to learn; therefore, getting pit bull training for your puppy will help it to become properly socialized. The most important component of our pit bull training is socialization. This is true for all breeds of dogs. At Pit of Our Souls rescue, we will help your pit bull become familiar with being handled, and how to become comfortable with being in contact with children, other pets, animals, and a variety of new situations. Obtaining early socialization for pets should be a top priority for all dog owners.

Behavioral Issues

All dogs have specific behavioral traits that will vary with each breed. The most common behavioral issue that all dogs have is human aggression. It is a natural instinct to protect the home and other territorial areas for most dogs, but this is a characteristic that needs to be controlled, and we can help through our pit bull training programs.

Some of the pit bull training programs we offer include:

  • Dog Aggression
  • Barking
  • Digging
  • Human Aggression
  • Leash Pulling
  • Separation Anxiety
